How does the free trial work?+
Sign up with no card and you get a demo vineyard loaded with realistic data, free for as long as you like. It’s a sandbox, so anything you add or map in it stays in the demo. When you’re ready to go live, choose Upgrade in the portal and add a card. That starts your own live account: the first 21 days are free, and after that it’s billed by the hectare at the prices above.
Do I need the Mapping Kit to try Archer?+
No. The demo vineyard is already mapped, so you can see the whole thing working before you spend anything. The kit, or our mapping service, is what puts your own rows on the map to centimetre accuracy, whenever you’re ready.
What counts as a hectare?+
Total declared area across all vineyards in your account. You set it at signup; we reconcile against your mapped blocks.
What about contractors?+
Free. They get their own login, can only see jobs assigned to them, and don't count against any limit.
Can I switch tiers?+
Yes, upgrade any time. If you downgrade, the lower plan’s limits apply straight away, and the lower price starts on your next invoice.
What happens when I add a vineyard?+
Your subscription updates automatically. We prorate within the billing period. Removing a vineyard takes effect at the next billing cycle (no refund mid-period).
Do I need special equipment to map my vineyard?+
To map your rows to centimetre accuracy, yes. That's accuracy a phone GPS can't reach, and it's what lets Archer place every row exactly. We supply the Archer Mapping Kit: a professional RTK receiver, configured for Archer and ready for Marlborough's RTK network. Map a block in about ten minutes. Already own survey-grade GNSS? Talk to us, it may work too.
Do you support other regions?+
Marlborough is live now. Other New Zealand regions are next: join the waitlist and tell us where you are, it’s how we decide the order.
